Chromis POS

Chromis POS is free, open-source point of sale software that runs on Windows, Mac and Linux. It is a fork of Unicenta oPOS, itself a fork of Openbravo POS, maintained mainly by one developer. It includes a remote kitchen screen and remote kitchen printing, and it was first built for a small shop rather than a restaurant.
