Franchisees with several locations

Employees can trade, cover and claim open shifts, with manager approval.
Availability and time-off management
Managers approve availability and time-off requests, can block dates and require notice, and PTO policies track accruals and balances.
Time clock on phones, tablets, computers and POS devices
Staff clock in with a PIN on a shared device or on their own phone, with kiosk and offline modes.
GPS and geofenced clock-in
Mobile clock-in can be limited to a geofence around the workplace, and photos can be captured at clock-in on tablets and POS devices.
Timesheets
Hours, breaks and overtime flow into timesheets that sync to payroll or can be exported; timesheets are stored for 90 days on Basic and 4 or more years on paid plans.
Break and overtime rules
Overtime and break preferences can be customised, with break waivers, overtime alerts, early clock-in prevention and automatic clock-out.
Labour cost and sales reporting
Reports compare labour cost with sales from a connected POS, and schedules can be built against forecast sales and labour targets.
Team messaging
Messages can be sent to individuals, departments, locations or the whole company, with read confirmation, channels and announcements.
Payroll (add-on, US only)
Full-service payroll run from timesheets, with tax calculation, filing and payment, direct deposit, W-2s and 1099s, and wage garnishments.
Tip Manager (add-on)
Pulls tips from the POS, calculates the tip pool and adds the result to timesheets.
Task Manager (add-on)
Task lists can be built and assigned, with completion tracked in the app or on desktop and optional photo proof.
Hiring and job posts
Job posts and applicant tracking are included; paid job post boosts and a Hiring Assistant that screens candidates and books interviews are add-ons.
Employee onboarding
New hires receive onboarding packets and e-sign W-4, W-9, I-9 and direct deposit forms, with documents stored in the system (All-in-One plan).
HR and compliance support
The All-in-One plan includes access to HR advisors, a policy and handbook review, and alerts about changes to US federal and state labour laws.
Departments and manager permissions
Managers and general managers can be assigned with custom permissions, and departments organise scheduling and reporting (Plus plan and above).
Early wage access for staff (Cash Out)
Employees can access part of their wages before payday, at no cost to the business according to the vendor.

Background checks can be ordered inside Homebase for a per-check fee.
