Guest WiFi Marketing

5 products listed

Introduction

Guests who sit with a coffee and log on to your WiFi are already telling you they have time to spare. Guest WiFi marketing software puts a branded login page in front of them and asks for an email address or phone number in exchange for access. That builds a contact list you can use for email or text offers, and some tools follow up with automated messages or review requests. The software runs from the cloud, alongside the access points you already own, so there is usually little to install. It suits venues where guests stay long enough to connect.

Who needs it

Cafes, pubs and restaurants that already offer free WiFi and have no other way to collect contact details. It is worth setting up when you have a steady flow of guests who stay a while, and you want a list without asking them to fill in forms.

What to look for

  • Works with your access points. Most run on existing networks such as UniFi or Meraki, and some supply a plug-and-play access point. Check your router is supported.

  • Consent capture and data rules. The login page should record consent to be contacted. Data protection rules vary between countries, so confirm what applies where you trade.

  • Where the contacts go. Some tools have built-in email and text, while others pass the list to your CRM or email tool. Check the connection.

  • Contact limits per plan. Plans may cap new guest emails per month. Compare the cap with your footfall.

  • Contract term and notice period. Terms in this category range from rolling monthly plans to a minimum period, so check before you commit.
